Additional Porter Cable 8623 12-Volt 2.0 Amp Hour NiCad Slide Style Battery Information
|
Get more power and run time from this re-designed battery pack. By eliminating the "tower cell" that resides in the post of clip-on batteries, this slide-on battery keeps all cells on an even playing field. This prevents premature failure of the battery due to one cell taking more abuse from charging and discharging than the others. An added benefit is that the slide-on style is much easier to remove and replace than typical clip-on style batteries. The 2.0 amp hour capacity provides more power and longer run time. It fits Porter-Cable 9866 12.0-volt drill and 869 flashlight.

What Customers Say About Porter Cable 8623 12-Volt 2.0 Amp Hour NiCad Slide Style Battery:

Thanks for continuing to make batteries for older models. Works great and strong. My husband has an older model drill and needed a battery. My choice would have been to buy a new drill but he insisted so we bought the Porter Cable Battery.Perfect.
Porter cable should beef up replacement batteries for customers buying them. This is a very good drill the battery fits in, but alas it wears out fast.
Probably sitting on the shelf too long. It is the correct OEM battery and it is new in the package, but it doesn't hold a charge very long.
Just like the original. I received this item way ahead of its scheduled arrival time and it was in perfect condition and works great.
there is no reason why they could not go with a LiIon battery as a replacement. These hold the charge a little better then originals, but nothing out of the ordinary. The price is ridiculous for a product that was not improved significantly.
